    • Overview

    Maser Consulting, P.A. is seeking a Survey Technician that will collaborate with other team members in the preparation of a variety of land surveys in support of the design, rehabilitation, and/or construction of building, roadway, and utility infrastructure projects for a multitude of public and private clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development of base maps from field data obtained through conventional survey means and terrestrial and/or mobile LiDAR.
    • Assist in the preparation of ALTA Surveys, Boundary & Topographic Surveys, Utility Surveys, As-Built Surveys, Roadway Surveys, R.O.W. Acquisition/Easement Mapping and Sketches, Construction Survey Exhibits, Subdivisions Plats, Foundation Location Surveys, Final Surveys, Flood Elevation Certificates
    • Prepare legal descriptions.
    • Field crew project data setup.
    • Analyze, review, and organize field data calculations and reduce field notes as needed.
    • Plot property line geometry from deed descriptions, filed maps, and other reference mapping.
    • Construction stakeout setups and grade sheet preparation, a plus.
    • Perform initial QA/QC.

    Qualifications

    • Min. 3-6 years of experience in the Land Surveying & Civil Engineering.
    • Experience within the construction and architecture industry, also a plus.
    • Intermediate knowledge of surveying concepts, theories, principles, and practices.
    • General understanding of other disciplines and how they fit into design and construction concepts.
    • Ability to prepare advanced, general and non-routine survey plans for completion and accuracy.
    • Intermediate investigative, analytical, and research skills.
    • General computer skills, knowledge and acumen (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite).
    • Min. 3-6 years of comprehensive knowledge and practical experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Civil Suite, or Bentley MicroStation, a plus.
    • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Carlson.
    • Experience in Microstation, Cyclone, Trimble Business Center a plus.
    • Ability to read and interpret contract design and construction drawings, a plus.
