  • Overview

    Assist in planning and implementing site remediation programs. Take responsible charge for collecting field data and environmental media samples, interpreting data and preparing technical reports. Work under the supervision of a LSRP, professional geologist or asbestos inspector.

    Responsibilities

    • Conducting investigations related to site remediation particularly in NJ, NY and PA
    • Interpreting regulations and guidance documents
    • Supervising and documenting field studies
    • Collecting and managing environmental samples
    • Interpreting and manipulating field and laboratory data
    • Coordinating subcontractors
    • Interacting with state and federal regulators
    • Calibrating, operating and maintaining field equipment
    • Conducting aquifer testing
    • Preparing reports, maps, and annotated findings using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and ArcGIS
    • Working in various terrains and environments throughout the year.

    Qualifications

    • 3 to 5+ years of environmental consulting experience
    • BS in Geology, Earth Science or Environmental Science
    • OSHA 40 HAZWOPR training with annual 8-hour refreshers
    • OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPR Supervisor training
    • Familiarity with NJ, NY and PA site remediation regulations, guidance documents and forms
    • Accredited Asbestos Inspector or Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD and ArcGIS
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-starter and team player

    • Moderate travel (typically 1 to 2 hours per day)
    • Occasional long-distance travel and overnight stays
