  • Overview

    Based in Red Bank, our IT Department is expanding nationally to support the growth of Maser Consulting. We are looking to add a local presence to our quickly expanding Charlotte office. An excellent Help desk technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. 

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the main point of contact for all user related inquiries to the IT department from the Charlotte Office.
    • Assist other IT staff with remote troubleshooting in other locations.
    • Properly address or route all inquiries in order to maintain and monitor end-user workstations and productivity on local area network.
    • Provide support to staff on all company-supported applications.
    • Troubleshoot computer, mobile device, server and network problems, determine source and advise on appropriate action.
    • Self-starter and able to work independently.
    • Travel to other locations as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in a related field plus 2-4 years of related experience.
    • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
    • Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks, hardware & software.
    • Familiarity with handheld devices.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear and lift or move up to 50lbs.
    • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
    • Basic programming/scripting is a plus.
    • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
    • Must be able to travel.
