As an Entry-Level Civil/Geotechnical Engineer, you will bring your expertise and unique solutions to highly visible and challenging projects. You will also work in a team of dedicated Project Managers, Principals and other Engineers.   • Participate or lead field assignments including observation of  geotechnical explorations, and installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring.
  • Participate in construction observation and monitoring of construction instrumentation
  • Performing geotechnical analyses under the direction of a senior engineer including bearing capacity evaluations, stability evaluations, and seepage and deformation analyses.
  • Writing of field reports, and inspection/engineering reports.
  • Prepare technical specifications, design drawings, and construction submittals for compliance with contract requriements and design assumptions.
  • Communicating effectively and efficiently with contractors, clients and team members.
  • Work Environment may require regular exposure to ALL outside weather conditions, moderate to loud noise conditions, exposure to heights.
  • Some weekend and overtime work required; overnight travel may be required with this position.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required at minimum
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus is preferred
  • Graduate-level coursework supporting a strong technical knowledge of the principles of soil mechanics and geotechnical design preferred
  • 0-3 years’ experience.
  • EIT certification is a plus.
  • Experience or academic training with geotechnical software such as SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, SETTLE3D, L-Pile, and finite element analysis packages such as PLAXIS are preferred.
  • Soils laboratory experience is a plus.
  • Following certifications a plus: Nuclear Density Gauge Operator; American Concrete Institute (ACI) Level I Inspector; Related certifications from ICC, and NICET.
  • Candidate must have consistent means of transportation to/from project sites and a valid Drivers License with a clean driving record.
  • Drug testing may be required.
