Maser Consulting is requesting resumes from highly motivated civil / environmental engineers with strong experience with potable water distribution systems, sanitary and storm water collection systems, and green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) in the urban environment.  This position offers tremendous potential for professional growth in a great working environment.


  • Develop, coordinate, and execute engineering methods affecting a wide range of engineering activities. 
  • Regular contact with professional engineering consultants, clients, governmental agencies, involved communities and contractors in connection with complex and difficult engineering matters. 
  • Overall supervision and review of detailed and complex engineering calculations, plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and technical papers. 
  • Responsible for planning, designing and providing guidance in the development of potable water supply, transmission, and distribution mains.
  • Responsible for planning, designing and providing guidance in the development of sanitary sewer collection systems. 
  • Responsible for planning, designing and providing guidance in the development of green storm water infrastructure systems.
  • Mitigates utility conflicts with existing utility companies and proposed water / sewer/ green infrastructure.
  • Develops and reviews conceptual drawings related to infrastructure design. 
  • Develops and reviews construction documents and specifications. 
  • Reviews and prepares calculations, permit applications, monitoring plans and progress reports. 
  • Works with staff to complete project plans, specifications, cost estimates to client standards and  within project budgets and deadlines
  • Responsible for studies, preparing designs, and contract documents for water supply infrastructure projects.


  • Bachelor of science degree in the environmental engineering, or civil engineering. 
  • EIT preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the civil/environmental engineering field with concentration in water/wastewater/green storm water design is highly desired. 
  • Familiar with City of Philadelphia utility plans and is able to QC  base maps to PWD standards .
  • Proficient in PWD water, sewer, and green design and drafting standards. 
  • Capable of working toward overseeing staff to insure workflow, quality control, and deadline management. 
  • Capable of working toward meeting with Clients to discuss design work, project changes, adherence to standards, and new work assignments. 
  • Capable of completing site visits to confirm base mapping accuracy. 
  • Capable of using redline drawings to produce AutoCAD design drawings to standard. 
  • Capable of completing sound water and sewer design drawings, quantity take offs and construction cost estimates, including management of reasources.
  • Experience with drafting project specifications (PWD related).
