Overview

Maser is requesting resumes from experienced and motivated right of way (ROW) professionals, of various skill levels, to support pipeline, electrical transmission and wind & solar development projects throughout the United States. Candidates should have previous ROW acquisition experience/exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ROW knowledge of land and negotiating principles, state and federal ROW procedures and statutes, and theories and concepts related to pipeline and oil & gas leasing.
  • Communicate and coordinate communications with all concerning agencies, parties, and entities, including landowners, owner, client, government agencies, contractors and other external contacts involved with ROW projects.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all parties, upholding the image of client and company.
  • Knowledge of conducting title and chain of title research, performing curative title, and requesting and preparing title certificates for abstractors.
  • Identify and contact agencies, parties, and entities affected by ROW project.
  • Prepare and file permits and applications with agencies, parties, and entities affected by ROW route.
  • Negotiate with landowners and other stakeholders acquiring rights of entry, easements, permits, and other necessary agreements/permissions.
  • Negotiate and mitigate settlements for damages with landowners and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the payments process for right of ways, damage settlements and permits.
  • Research land titles and prepare limited title certificates.
  • Prepare and track land acquisition packages. Develop and maintain databases and project tracking reports.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

 

  • 5 plus years related experience in ROW acquisition and negotiation.
  • Degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Business or related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong customer and team focus.
  • Willing to travel and work in an outside environment, sometimes during inclement weather.
  • Must possess a valid driver licenses and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to learn company specific applications when necessary.

 

Requires a pre-employment drug screen and will require ongoing participation in the employer's annual drug and alcohol testing program.
